HOW TO: Half Moons EASY

Hey guys I was just trying out some sort of nail art? no I guess you wouldn't call it that but I was tyring to be creative with my nails. I painted the base of my nails with OPI's Black Onyx which is one of my favorite black polishes (.... any recommendations for a better one?) and I did the rest with Essie's Blanc, which I love but if you guys have any better suggestions please tell me in the comments below, tweet me (@postivpolished) or email me (positivelypolished@hotmail.com).

So here's a little how to... sort of. This is a very easy way of doing it so you avoid any mess ups and its pretty simple, it's HALFMOONS FOR DUMMIES hahha

Things you will need:
2 different colors, contrasting would be best
base coat
topcoat
Paper reinforcements (very inexpensive, you can get them at CVS, any office supply or publix even!)
should look like this:

1. Start of by painting your nails with a basecoat on all of your nails to prevent staining.

2. Paint 1 to 2 coats of the base color you choose to start off. The amount of coats depends on the coverage the color gives, and how you like it. I choose OPI's Black Onyx.

3. Put topcoat on your base color and let it sit until it is completely dry. You may even want to wear your base color for a day and do this second part the next day so you are sure your polish is dry. I say this because sometimes you think your polish is dry and when you put the reinforcement on your nail and peel it off it peels the base color off too.

4. Now in these pictures I have already painted my other color over the black but I will explain. After your base color is dry you place reinforcements on all of your nails. You can use one entire reinforcement per nail or you can cut them in half, whatever you prefer.

4 1/2. Make sure that your reinforcements are well placed and try to get it in the side cuticle and like ... use a wooden stick to mold it to your nail that way when you paint over it, the polish won't bleed through to the other side and create an uneven line.

5. Paint your second contrasting color over your nail trying not to go past the reinforcement side closest to your cuticle. Do one to two coats depending on the coverage of the paint and how you want it to look.

6. Let the top color dry for about 30 seconds and start to remove the reinforcements carefully making sure you don't rip away any polish.
 7. to finish it off put topcoat on all of your nails and do cleanup if necessary.

I hope you liked this small tutorial and this helps you. If you do this please comment below with a link to your blog post, tweet me a picture (@positvpolished) or email me pictures (positivelypolished@hotmail.com) I love seeing when other people like my posts! I also bought a few polishes today X_X!
I really need to stop this addiction and start moderating my stash! I'm thinking I might have a blog sale with a few polishes?... would any of you be interested in it? Very low prices like 2-6 dollars the most probably

Turquoise Shatter

Hey Guys,

quick post from me today. I am wearing two coats of Essie's Blanc with OPI's Turquoise Shatter. The colors were being poop so I just edited them and played with the levels so sorry if my hands or the background look funky. Also a question for you guys, please email me [positivelypolished@hotmail.com], tweet me [@positivpolished], or comment with your response--- SO... do you guys like posts with one good picture like short and sweet? Maybe a la Kellie Gonzo... or All Lacquered Up? How they do like ONE picture usually? Or do you guys like that I put a ton of pictures every time??? I'm not sure what you guys prefer... FEEDBACK PLEASE! Thanks guys! One more follower today :), really made my day! I'm a super small blog (80 goin' strong) but I guess it makes me appreciate you all even more!

THIS QUICKDRY STUFF IS AMAZING. I've tried drops from OPI and stuff but it doesn't work nearly as good! If you guys want a full review of this stuff just tell me  :)

they match my favorite sneakers!

I don't care what the haters say, I'm still in love with shatter!
