Light Pastel Blue Comparison

I'm not sure if I've said this before but pastel blues are one of my favorite's I just can't get enough of them, if I could have more I would. This isn't even all my light blues I have more but these were the most similar. I know a lot of these are popular so I thought this would be a helpful comparison.

Here is what color I did on what nail if I have already done full manicures with any of these colors, you will be able to click it and it will send you to the link of the full manicure.

Also I know many might ask why Essie's Mint Candy Apple isn't in there but I tried comparing it next to these, but it was so different it really wasn't worth putting it in this comparison.

PINKY~ Essie's Borrowed & Blue (2 coats)
RING~ Hard Candy's Sky (2 coats)
THUMB~ Sephora by OPI's Havana Dreams (2 coats but probably should've done 3)

Polka Dots!

Hiya!

First off I did two coats of Essie's Blanc as a base, then I used a dotting tool to do different color dots on each of my nails. I used four mini H&M colors (Neon Lilac, Neon Orange, Neon Yellow, and Neon Pink), Essie's Pretty Edgy, and OPI's Ogre-the-Top Blue for the Polka Dots on the nails. I also put a coat of Poshe top coat afterwards.
I purchased the dotting tools at a local nail supply but I'm pretty sure you can purchase a similar set at the Born Pretty website [link for dotting tools here]. They are super easy to use and more convenient than a tooth pick in my opinion, although that works as well. If you guys like the manicure and would be interested in a tutorial (even though this is a super easy mani) just tell me in the comments, or tweet/email me {@positivpolished or positivelypolished@hotmail.com}.
Also I'm not sure if you guys read this before or have noticed that I've been editing my pictures (as in cropping them for better quality) and taking my pictures in different lightings. Tell me if you guys like this better and if you guys have any ideas for me. Thumbs up or thumbs down? or ehh..in between whatever.

suplies I used:

Navy Jelly Unamed Franken

Hey guys!

"Cannot tell from the bottle what your Franken is...a black with some glitter holo? Sure you are more creative than that. So sorry, don't have any suggestions. Need a better look see...but some do float through my mind...like if you want a really catchy oddball name - like Get Me Out of Jail - or if you want a more normal name like Night out Howling come to mind."

So as I always say, I DO READ YOUR COMMENTS. And I take them into consideration, so here are swatches of the polish...maybe more inspiration for names?? It is actually a navy[dark blue] jelly color with rainbow glitters in it. Hope you like it! As always you can click on the pictures to get a better look and if you have any suggestions feel free to leave a comment, send me an email [positivelypolished@hotmail.com], or tweet me! [@positivpolished]

one coat of polish:
obviously its a jelly and it was a little goopy im still working on that. This was two coats and now that I look back I probably should've done three coats. sorry :/

I got this at the nail supply and I really like it especially for my topcoat when i use it so much I only have the last bit and this holds it tilted for me. I personally like this better than the silly putty trick because silly putty sticks to everything and ruins things for me.

Essie Fair Game

God bless Essie! I know so many people think OPI is a million times better than Essie... but I'm not sure why Essie has a special place in my heart. OPI does have more colors but when Essie does new colors, they really do them well.
This was two thin coats and it flooded my cuticles a little but but that was nothing minor clean up couldn't fix. I really love this color, I don't know whether steel grey/green is a term...but heck, it is now! Some people are saying its a grey, but for me it definitly has some green tones in it, I'm not sure if you can tell in my pictures. It's really pretty and it has way more depth in person. It dries super quickly too! Yes it's sort of frosty but I really like this and I don't know why. I heard it is very similar (NOT DUPE) to Lancome Le Gris L'Wren Scott too.

OPI DS SIGNATURE

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this color! I've been wanting it since I saw it on lacquerized like forever ago. It is such a beautiful color, and a dream to apply. I did two thin coats which looking back I could have definitely done three. I got this from the lucky nail supply I showed you in one of my lasts posts, it sort of makes up for my longing for OPI DS Original.... sort of. Of course I am dying for Glamour but that's more of a distant dream. I took lots of pictures for you guys <3 hope you enjoy!

xoxo, Sabrina

I've been taking my blog pictures differently and trying to crop them... tell me if you guys see the difference! I did sort of a white background to get a more accurate color.
I love feed back!
