Catching up on Posts

Hey Guys,

I've been so busy but I am going to try to make the effort to do a few mass posts every once in a while to hold you guys off. But like I always say, REQUEST AND COMMENT! Okay well let me see what pictures I pull from the vault- I am seriously winging this right now.

Let's start with a Classic, "For Audrey" by China Glaze.
I know that all of you have seen this before, great application, opacity, yata yata yata.

I have one that I've been meaning to show you but I held off till now, I present to you tun tun tun OPI DS Coronation. Oh how I love this color! It dries quickly but man do you have to layer this one- it's better as a top coat but no, I layered it up and then, put more out the door holographic top coat( not shown with this topcoat in pictures). I am just going to bombard you with good and terrible pictures, enjoy:

That's all for today, but please keep requesting, commenting and emailing!

Essie Lapis of Luxury

I have found love.
A DREAM to apply, corn flower blue, I can almost say it is a lighter version of Sally Hansen Pacific Blue. I am in love with this color, it's so cute and classy and sdljf;lsakj I can't say enough so I will just spam you with pictures. Sorry for the dry hands. Also check out the rest of the collection on ALU. I also have swatched turquoise and caicos on this blog :)

Sula Paint and Peel Polish and I'm sorry

Sorry I haven't been blogging guys, school started and I'm afraid things a re going to be on and off like this but please keep the love coming and keep reading and requesting. I cannot stress enough that the more requests and comments the happier I
am- and more likely to post haha.

Well let me start talking about Sula's Paint and Peel polish. I had been lemming these polishes for a while but when I saw them at ulta for a hefty 9.00 price tag my answer was HELL NO. But a while ago I passed by my local Ulta again and hit up the sales bin as always- duh there are always GREAT finds there!- and there before me I saw an assortment of Paint and Peel Polish! ahh the heavens sang to me. And I got them for a great deal $4.99! That's a big difference I think.
So I got Kelly a bright green I think might look like China glaze four leave clover (I don't have it so sorry I can't compare- UNLESS YOU HAVE AN EXTRA AND WANT TO SWAP WITH ME) and "Teal"- have I mentioned the SUPER creative names? *sarcasm intended*

Application:
Now, these are pictures from when I first tested it out and my nice quality cannon picked out way more imperfections than you could see in real life. When you first apply it it dries rather quickly and is shiny but the shine wears out in a few hours. It's a little streaky but it's meant to be like 3 coats.

Instructions on the bottle say:
Apply 2-3 coats to clean, naked nails. Avoid contact with hot water for 4 hours. For long lasting color apply sula's lasting love top coat. Peel off when desired, no polish remover required! Big 3 free water based formula.

Before I show you pictures let me explain to you that this paint is meant to be worn like you wear make up, for a few hours and then peel it off with out damaging the nail and being able to switch it up. they have very trendy colors and if anybody has tried their top coat please tell me because I would want to compare with and with out the top coat. And remover DOES work but it is easier (MORE FUN) to peel it haha.

sorry for the blurriness

all in all I really do enjoy this polish and I love to peel it but I wonder if the top coat makes it better....

any thoughts?

I'm Back! One NOTD, and some Giveaways!

I apologize for my lack of posts but I took a week vacation! Man, it was beautiful and I really enjoyed it. I'm also sorry... because... well I was a terrible blogger and forgot to take any pictures of my NOTD but I can fill you in on what I wore on my nails and provide links to other bloggers swatches: Essie- Mint Candy Apple, OPI- What's with the Cattitude, and one day I did just wear Essie's Fill the Gap! which I love to occasionally use on it's own.
Today'
s NOTD is my failed attempt at the Blackberry Manicure. A better take on this manicure can be found on this link. Sorry the picture is so bad, I actually took it with my Blackberry.
I used Essie's Punchy Pink on the thumb and Essie's Bermuda Shorts on the rest of my nails. I did like 4 or 5 coats of Deborah Lippmann's Happy Birthday( yes this is my first Deborah Lippmann polish! and I love it!) because I don't have Mad as a Hatter from OPI :(. Which by the way if any of you have OPI's Mad as a Hatter or Absolutely Alice and would be willing to swap please shoot me an email at positivelypolished@hotmail.com.

Also there are a bunch of new give aways lately and they have some great prizes so go check 'em out!

That's all for today but I will soon be blogging again! Hope your summers are amazing!

I GOT MY HANDS ON MILANI DRESS MAKER!

Sorry, I am just so excited, I went to like 4 different CVS today and 1 Walgreens yesterday before I came across a stand that had it. And They only had one left! It's like it was there waiting for me :)! (I still want more!) And after seeing the stand I am considering getting "bare to wear" and "fashion design". If any of you have those colors please swatch them and send me the picture or tell me what you think of the colors. I am just doing a quick post to show you some pictures I have taken with my blackberry along the way through my journey.
In the first few stores all the stands seemed to taunt me like this^
A few days before I found this Revlon heaven. I had purchased some sented nail polishes from them a month or two back and I guess they brought them back with summer shades... AGAIN. But it game me the opportunity to buy Minted which I had been MAJOR lemming. I considered buying the coral (last one to the right, the one next to the top coat) but I just have so many corals... but I am regretting not getting it now :/
My local Walgreens has a lot of Milani, especially the old ones. I just hate how most pharmacies have nail polish closer to the floor... it's such a hassle. I was wondering how much your local drug store carries.

And I am a CVS girl to tell you the truth but I popped into the Walgreens the other day and saw this! This is so new to me! Since when has OPI become so ...available everywhere?! haha.

I saved the best for last. A picture of ... drum roll please.... dress maker.... Sorry I could only swatch it on top of my NOTD (Essie Lapis of Luxury with Essie's Matte About You Top Coat.)

Well that's about it for now! Peace love polish!

Mish Mosh Post with Swatches, Lemming, Tip, and Old Nail Art Fail

Hey Guys,

sorry I am not a daily poster, it just gets hard sometimes. I am beyond frustrated. I have all of these wonderful swatches I have been working on but I have just deleted a bunch and I've just decided to delete the pictures I have blogged about... I mean.. I am not getting any good techniques that work for me here and I feel that might be just the easiest thing to do. Also I am going on a trip soon so I won't be posting as much so I am just going to do a few posts and set them to post on their own but if it doesn't work out I am apologizing ahead of time. So today I am just posting some lousy nail art that I tried out and forgot to post with my other post about Essie's Pretty Edgy and Sephora's Picnic in the Park and a random swatch of my first and only color club color Electric Coral.

I used (from right to left) Q-Art Paint Green 36, Finger Paints Scarlet's Paint!, and Art Club (Color Club) NA1 White.
sorry for the yellow lighting- ps... this is like my first nail art and fail attempt at a strawberry so don't be too harsh :)
Moving on to the Electric Coral from Coral Club (also with Nail art Strawberry)
it came out to pink here:
Well after the over dose of pictures on that swatch (sorry I just love that color). Let me talk about it a little bit. haha. This was my first experience with Color Club and let me just tell you ... I'm hooked. It was smooth and was nice in 2-3 coats which is great for such a pretty pink neon jelly like this. I have A TON of neon pinks... more than an average person should, and this one still stands out... I will do a comparison soon not to worry.

Here is a pedicure. If you do not like pedicures I left a little room so you don't see. Just skip em'... my feet look EXTRA nasty here... sorry.

I have Essie Marshmallow on my toes and I am sorry I can't even remember the colors I used to Konad my big toes... it was like a bunch of my little polishes. I have like the most prehistoric Konad kit known to man. This is like the first edition and I almost never use it I just got it when I was little because I thought it was cool. I only have three plates, the 3 mini colors it came with, the basic stamper, and the blade. Yup that is all, period. I am a fail of a nail blogger in the Konad'ing sense. This is the m3 Plate.

Second to last thing I swear... man this is a HUGE post!
Well I wanted to reshape my nails like last night but I always make them crooked and I had remembered I had read this uber great article with a bunch of tips and tricks on Lacquerized (AKA possibly the best nail blog on the face of this earth, sorry ALU). It said it was better to file nails with dark polish so you could see what you were doing... so I dug up some nasty dark blue that was kind of icky and just slapped it on the ends of my nails and voila! GENIUS! *angels sing* my nails are actually.... dare I say... NOT CROOKED! They look better than they ever have considering I dig the nubbins look. Click here for the article on how to shape your nails!

So a picture of my slapped on paint:
PS. this is in the middle of the filing of my nails.

Last thing I want to talk about...

I am massively craving the new Milani color "dress maker" that is the Chanel Jade dupe! Like tomorrow my goal is to hit up every CVS in Florida till I find it. P.S. if you just asked yourself what Dress Maker is or who Lacquerized is I want to invite you to crawl out from that rock you have been living under to direct you to this link where the wonderful Steph has so beautifully swatched it for us and compared it to other rumored dupes of Chanel Jade- LINK! LOOK AT THIS BEAUTY- . I was pretty young when Jade came out so ... yes I understand why my mother didn't get it for me... but ... it's even my middle name... yes Sabrina Jade... ughh I can't blame her.. she wouldn't buy me a 25 dollar polish not even if she was drugged... and I wouldn't either... well unless I had way more money... then that might be different.

Well.... I think I have babbled enough for tonight. I hope you enjoyed the post, and I didn't bore you to death. Please comment with your opinion on this post and my blog and please feel free to shoot me an email at positivelypolished@hotmail.com about anything, a review, question, REQUESTS PLEASEE!, or even to tell me that you don't like me haha.

Well good night, peace love polish!

50 followers and China Glaze Watermelon Rind

Yes, I have finally reached over fifty followers! ... okay so 51 but hey! that's big for me! Thanks for all of you that follow me, I honestly thought that I would just be blogging to emptyness and there were times I thought about quitting but... I am no quitter! I was determined to get at least 50 followers and hey I have made it this far so my next goal is 100! I have a friend who is having some trouble getting followers she is a beauty blogger so if you think you can just check out her blog and follow it, I would be soo grateful link. She quit a few weeks ago and I am trying to convince her to start up again because she really is very good at make up.

I have a few swatches of Watermelon Rind from China Glaze from you. This was pretty good application, and it was like 3 thin coats, I could have gotten away with 2 but I really wanted that juicy color. I have nothing like this color in my collection and I just adore this color! I like how it can be very summery or christmas-y. By the way the reason I have one nail with out paint is because I started to take it off but then i remembered I hadn't taken any pictures of it! I wore this for about 3 days and the tip wear was not great, but it wasn't bad ... umm it was okay/good considering I had been banging on the keys of my computer and doing some work around the house.

I want to thank Jana from Jeweled Tips for giving me some suggestions to file away my blog pictures and swatches, if any of you also have any ideas I please please please ask (bet) you to send me your ideas and methods even if you aren't a blogger just tell me what you "would" do. Shoot me an email to positivelypolished AT hotmail DOT com or just comment below. Also check out Jana's awesome blog here!

thanks for reading! Please comment, write me an email, request colors, even write me a comment/email as a review telling me what you love/hate/like/dont care/ dislike about my blog!
